Different types of hair that our body produces require different Hair Removal methods. All the hair our body produces is made of keratin, a hard protein that's also found in fingernails and toenails. There are two types of hair on the body.

Vellus hair which is soft, fine, and short is present on women, on their chest, back, and face. It can be darker and more noticeable in some women than others, especially those with darker complexions. Vellus hair helps the body maintain a steady temperature by providing insulation.

Terminal hair is coarser, darker, and longer than vellus hair and grows on the head, armpits and pubic region. On men, terminal hair also grows on the face and other parts of the body such as the chest, legs, and back. Terminal hair is there to provide protection.

Hair Removal is usually for unwanted hair such as; excess hair growth may be the result of certain medical conditions. For women, ovary conditions and other hormonal disorders can cause dark, coarse hair to grow on the face, especially the upper lip and chin, as well as on the chest, stomach, and back. Some medications, like anabolic steroids, also can cause excess hair growth.

Male facial hair has been style or removed by different excess hair removal methods adapted over the centuries. The common way today is by shaver. Traditionally for women, facial hair is removed by plucking, depilatory creams or waxing hair. Today’s modern technology has introduced laser hair removal as the more permanent painless way to rid unwanted hair.

Hair Removal of facial hair growth in women is also achieved medically, by prescription creams and tablets which can cause side effects.
